This weekend I went to stay with Bobbi. On Friday after school we went home in a convertable and Bobbi showed me around her house. It was great. I met her Mum, Mum’s boyfriend and all her brothers and sisters (Dijon, Denia, Mercedes, Dion and Carina). Then we let go of the balloons in memory of her Granddad, it was a lovely moment but it was quite sad.
We woke up on Saturday morning and had Cheerios for breakfast. Then we played on the laptop and the scooter . . . I went really fast. I had to stay at home while Bobbi went swimming (I’m not a big fan of the water!) but I didn’t mind because I had made friends with all her other bears! But they weren’t very talkative!
On Sunday we had a go on the trampoline. We bounced really high and I got a bit scared! Then we had tea we had a scrummy roast dinner made by Bobbi’s mum. After all the excitement we went to bed ready for a great week at school.
Thanks Bobbi!
Because I have been such a grown up bear recently I was allowed to stay at school for half term and I have had SO much fun. Have a look at the pictures and see what I have been up to – leave some comments for me

P.S I am missing you
So did you manage to find the Dominican Republic. It’s a long way away isn’t it? I had to spend nearly 20 hours on a plane toget there and back – I was a very tired bear when I got back. The plane journey was fun. I got to watch some telly on a special screen which was on the back of the chair in front of me. Very clever!! Because I was such a well behaved bear I was allowed a special treat . . . I went all the way to the front of the plane to meet the pilot. He stays in the area called the cockpit and he showed me all the computers he uses to help him fly the plane and I met the co-pilot too he helps the pilot to make sure we all stay safe.

When we arrived at the hotel we had some very nice people dancing to welcome us. They like dancing in the Dominican Republic. See if you can find out what their national dance is and write it in the comments. Our room was very big and we could see the pool and the beach.

We spent some time in the pool and we met a very nice man called Manuel he worked in the pool and we could swim up
to the bar and ask him for drinks, I drank lots of Orange Juice while I was there because it was so hot.
One day we went on a trip to Los Haitises. That’s the National Park and we had to get a boat there. See if you can find that on a map or the internet. While we were there we saw lots of birds, there are over 110 different types but I don’t think we got to see all of them. We did see gannets hispaniolan parrots and pelicans.

Then we went into the Taino caves. We got to see where the original inhabitants of the Islands lived they were called Taino Indians. They have left evidence of how they used to live in the form of cave drawings. I couldn’t believe I was looking at something that had been drawn hundreds of years ago. It was fascinating.
After our trip around the National Park we got back on the boat and went to Cayo Lavantado which is a very small Island just off the coast of the Dominican Republic. We had some lunch and a special drink in a pineapple it was delicious.

The beach was amazing, white sands and you could see the bottom of the sea, it was so clear!
After our beach trip
we got back on the boat and went home.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first week and was looking forward to another trip we had planned where we went on a jeep safari. Keep looking out for my next post and I’ll tell you all about it.

Wow, is it nearly the weekend already? What a quick start to the term it has been. How is everybody doing in their new classes?
I am now with a year 5 class and am having a great time we have all been working so hard. My favourite things we have done so far is writing a story about what we did over the summer holidays and today we looked at some ancient Chinese puzzles called Tangrams. They were really tricky but I loved trying to make all the different shapes. Our first topic we are learning about is called survival. I wonder what we’ll get up to?
What has been your favourite activities so far? What are you looking forward to learning about?
Hello everybody!!
How was your summer holidays? I had an amazing time. I have just got back from the Dominican Republic. Do you know where that is? If not, see if you can find it on www.google.com/maps. If you can see the Island see if you can find Samana (you might have to zoom in a bit – I’ll give you a clue it’s in the top right hand side of the island). And if you zoom in a bit more you might even be able to find the actual hotel, it was called Gran Bahia Principe Samana. I had a fabulous time but because I did so many things and learnt so much, including some Spanish because that’s the language they speak there, I’m going to blog about it over the next couple of days.
So if you do follow my blog your first job is to see if you can find the Dominican Republic if you can write a comment to let me know where you think it is. Maybe you could tell me where it is near or what sea surrounds the island.
Have fun looking and watch out for my next blog post which will be week 1 of my travels.
